Ekka Withdrawal - It's Real

As I am writing this we should be packing for Ekka, travelling to Ekka, setting up at Ekka.....

Update.... as I write EKKA IS ON!!! - WE SHOULD BE AT THE BAR AFTER JUDGING BY NOW!!!

But the pandemic gripping some of the world has put a stop to it for only the second time in the history of the EKKA, and we respect the call made to keep everyone safe and call it off this year.

But it is real, all of a sudden the the memories are popping up on facebook, the reminders of the packing and the banta between us all over who may whinge the most when packing and setting up are front of mind.

Isn't it funny how yes the ribbons are the "Bragging rights" etc etc but what do we REALLY" miss when not heading to the EKKA - like in my last post it is the smells - the sawdust challenges, the people and more.

So this is a quick note to say, those that get it "get it", its a community, a tribe, a support network of people with a love of cattle, a drive to succeed and all the time honouring the tradition.

And yes we may be having some facetime videos and communal "cheers" with a few beverages and ensuring that "look out next year" as we will be back 150% or MORE!

So be assured we will be back next year with bells on - BRING IT ON!
